Is the coronation of King Charles III the perfect reason to send belated birthday wishes to Prince Archie?

Spare a thought for those who have a birthday so close to Christmas; the idea that because both are so close together, then they can be combined into one elongated celebration despite being two different things. Or how about a thought for those who had a birthday on July 30 1966 - the day that England won the world cup (and the plot device for Helena Bonham Carter feature, Sixty Six).

It’s a bitter pill to swallow when your birthday lands on an important occasion, and we hope that Prince Archie hasn’t learned about bitterness yet during his upbringing, given that on what is to be his fourth birthday, his grandfather is set to become the newest monarch. So with all the focus on King Charles III and his historic occasion, would that mean Prince Archie might be neglected when it comes to birthday wishes from other members of the Royal family?

A look back at those who gave the young royal well wishes on his third birthday might give an indication of who we could expect to pay their respects on his big day; we would hope that the Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince William and Princess Catherine, extend the same warm wishes that they did last year, when they tweeted "Wishing Archie a very happy 3rd birthday today!" Short, sweet and succinct - and something perhaps the pair (or their media team) could shoot out once the Coronation procession comes to a close - the tie difference works in their favour.

King Charles and Queen Camilla also shared their birthday wishes to Prince Archie, once again taking to social media last year to write “wishing Archie a very happy 3rd birthday,” though we would imagine that with everything going on, they might be a little late to send their grandson some well wishes. Unless they've discovered how to schedule posts on Twitter and social media - you never know.

Going back to Prince Archie’s second birthday, along with King Charles, Queen Camilla and the Prince and Princess of Wales sending their well wishes, Princess Eugenie, Zara Tindall, and their respective husbands also sent their best wishes to Archie on his second birthday.

Though still attending the Coronation, they do not have the same duties as the other members of the Royal family, perhaps they can squeeze in a quick birthday message between 7:15am and 11am - the times that guests are set to enter Westminster Abbey before the ascension of King Charles.

Oh well - we hope that if he doesn’t get everything he wants this birthday that he gets spoiled with something rotten on his fifth birthday. There is always the silver lining that he will get to see his dad on his birthday, with Harry confirmed to be heading straight back to Montecito after the event has concluded.
