Speculation is mounting that Prince Harry will not be wearing military uniform at the coronation and will instead wear Dior alongside his medals for his occasion.

Although I am sure Prince Harry would have been keen to wear military uniform at his father King Charles’s coronation, now that he has decided to literally fly in and out for the occasion, wearing a suit rather than uniform might be more practical!

At the time of writing this, there is no official news on what Prince Harry is set to wear. However, many are speculating that he will wear a suit instead of uniform.

However, if rumours are to be ‘believed’ and Prince Harry is already in the UK, perhaps there will be a phone call with his father where he will be told he can wear his military uniform instead of a suit?

Although he is no longer a senior working royal, he was of course permitted to wear his military uniform for his late grandmother Queen Elizabeth II's vigil. Despite fans praising the decision to let Prince Harry wear his uniform on this occasion, this was very much seen as a ‘one off.’

It is much more likely for the occasion of the King’s coronation that Prince Harry wears a suit, and might very well choose a Dior one. I wrote an article (when I thought Meghan would accompany him) that they might both wear Dior for the coronation.

Prince Harry wore a Dior shirt featuring a bee embroidered with 18-carat gold thread when he attended the final day of his lawsuit against Associated Newspapers at the Royal Courts of Justice. The exact Dior ‘Bee Shirt,’ retails at £800. According to Hello magazine, “Meghan has a long-standing relationship with Dior, and has worn bespoke dresses from the French fashion house in the past. She also owns the cult ‘Lady-D-Lite’ handbag, an iteration of the ‘Lady Dior,’ which was poignantly named after Prince Harry’s late mother Princess Diana.”

Perhaps if Prince Harry does decide to wear Dior to the coronation, it will be a nod not only to his wife Meghan but also to his late mother, Princess Diana?
