The invitations have been sent out for King Charles’s coronation on May 6, however it would seem that as of yet, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not confirmed their attendance.

Paul Burrell told The Mirror that he thinks Prince Harry will attend the coronation without his wife. “I don’t think Meghan’s brave or strong enough to be there - she’d have to look in the eyes of a family she’s pushed under the bus.” "But," he went on to say, “I think Harry may come alone and she’s probably told him she won’t be able to be by his side with him if he does attend.”

One reason why Meghan Markle may not attend the coronation is that it is Prince Archie’s fourth birthday on the same day. According to reports, Prince Archie and his sister Princess Lilibet have not been invited to the coronation and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are said to be ‘upset’ about this decision. One source revealed that the children were not invited because they are ‘very young.’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may also be ‘upset’ that Prince William and Kate Middleton’s oldest son, Prince George, has been given a specific role at the coronation. He will be the youngest Page of Honour on the day, and will perform his role alongside three other Pages of Honour - schoolboys Lord Oliver Cholmondeley, 13, Nicholas Barclay, 13, and Ralph Tollemarche, 12.

As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly not met the coronation RSVP date, it also raises ‘security risks.’ According to LBC, “while this is thought to have created several logistical issues for the family, it is also a cause for serious concerns over security. After the Duke of Sussex stepped back from his position as a working royal, he has had to give a month’s notice before any return to the UK.”

Prince Harry recently made a surprise appearance at the High Court in London for the phone-tapping and privacy case. It is thought however that he did not meet with his father, King Charles, nor his brother Prince William, and he came to the UK alone.

If he does attend the coronation ceremony, he may think it is easier to go by himself and then quickly fly back to the States to be with Meghan and his family. If he does decide to do that, Meghan might opt to celebrate Archie’s fourth birthday quietly with Lilibet and her mother Doria Ragland.

However, one notable guest at Archie’s fourth birthday might be LIlibet’s godfather, Tyler Perry, who recently joined the couple for her christening. According to People, Tyler, “flew in for the ceremony from his home in Atlanta with a 10-person gospel choir that sang “Oh Happy Day” and “This Little Light of Mine”-a song that was played at Meghan and Harry’s wedding.”
