Momentous life events such as weddings and funerals can often bring warring family members together, but more often than not, do nothing to heal irreparable frictions. When it comes to the coronation, King Charles is believed to be in more of a forgiving mood than Prince William is. According to the Daily Mail, “Charles is said to be pleased Harry is coming and his mood is described as 'generally quite forgiving.’

However, if reports are to be believed, Prince William appears ‘less than keen’ on forgiving. The Telegraph reports that “While the King’s mood is described as ‘generally quite forgiving,’ the Prince of Wales is understood to still feel betrayed by the revelations in the book. Such is the gulf between the once-close brothers that several sources have said they cannot see how their relationship can ever be repaired.”

So when it comes to any hope of a reconciliation between the brothers at the coronation, at present, this looks extremely unlikely. There will be no chance of a few shared words at the coronation as Prince William and Prince Harry will be separated.

The Daily Express have reported that “Harry will be seated several rows behind the senior royals and at a position to ensure that there can be no direct shot of William and Harry together- meaning any potential sideways glances or furious stares are not broadcast on the world stage.”

Although it has now been confirmed by Buckingham Palace and the Sussexes that Prince Harry will be attending the coronation alone, it is believed that the reason for the couple delaying their response is that they were very concerned about where they would be seated.

According to The Independent, “Prince Harry’s reply to his and Meghan’s coronation invite was reportedly delayed because they were ‘preoccupied,’ with where they would be seated, a new report claims. The report claims that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were especially concerned with who would sit in front and behind them in the seating plan at Westminster Abbey on 6 May.”

Although it has not been confirmed as yet to the general public where Prince Harry will be seated at the coronation, it is likely that he may be next to more ‘sympathetic’ members of the royal family such as his cousin Princess Eugenie. The pair enjoy a good relationship with one another and she was featured in the final episode of their six-part Netflix documentary.

During the episode, Princess Eugenie was seen enjoying a bike ride with Prince Harry and playing on the beach with Prince Archie. Princess Eugenie is also believed to enjoy a close relationship with Meghan Markle and she and her then boyfriend (now husband) Jack Brooksbank joined the couple when they went incognito in Halloween costumes on a night out a few years ago.
