Prince Harry has lost his bid to be allowed to make private payments for police protection and security in the UK following a one-day court hearing in London last week.
It comes as the Duke of Sussex’s security arrangements changed when he and Meghan Markle stepped down from their positions as working royals in 2020 and moved to Montecito.

Harry’s lawyers wanted an official judicial review for the rejection, but a judge has denied a hearing. As a result of Harry losing his High Court case, he has to pay £500,000 in legal fees.
The discussion regarding Prince Harry’s security comes a week after he was involved in a ‘near catastrophic car chase’ with his wife Meghan Markle and his mother-in-law Doria Ragland when paparazzi allegedly followed them through the streets of New York City.
The couple were in the city making their first public appearance since the King's Coronation as Meghan won a prize at the Women of Vision Awards.
