The ‘Harry and Meghan’ Hermes blanket: How you can get a similar look

If you have watched the full trailer, or indeed the series, for Netflix’s ‘Harry and Meghan’ which is out now, you might have noticed a blanket in the background. This is of course no ordinary blanket. It is the Hermes ‘Avalon’ blanket.

Eagle-eyed viewers would have taken note of the Hermes blanket when the trailer cuts to a tearful Meghan sitting with her head in her hands on her chair. The ‘Avalon’ blanket is draped on the back of the chair and is beige and white, with the letter ‘H’ woven on the front.

Now, the ‘H’ of the blanket is clearly because it is an Hermes blanket, but it makes even more sense in the Harry and Meghan household because Harry’s name of course begins with an H too.

According to Women's Wear Daily, following the clip, “there was a 500 percent search increase on Google for the term ‘’Hermes blanket” and an 850 percent increase for the term 'Hermes blanket price'.

Women's Wear Daily goes on to say that this is not the first time the Hermes Avalon blanket has appeared in the homes of the rich and famous or in film. According to them, “Sarah Jessica Parker, much like Markle was seen crying alongside the Hermes Avalon blanket in the 2008 ‘Sex and the City film.’
