Is Princess Eugenie visiting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as she reportedly considers a move to the US?

As first cousins, it is not unexpected that Prince Harry would be close to Princess Eugeine, but it would appear that the friendship is also extended to his wife Meghan Markle. Meghan made reference to her friendship with Eugenie in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres. 

During the chat with Ellen, she spoke about how she enjoyed a night out with Eugine, her now-husband Jack Brooksbank and Prince Harry in Toronto in 2016. 

Meghan said: “He (Prince Harry) came to see me in Toronto and our friends and his cousin Eugine and now her husband Jack, they came as well, and the four of us snuck out in Halloween costumes just to have one fun night on the town before it was out in the world that we were a couple.”

In their infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan mentioned Princess Eugenie and said: “Eugenie and I had known each other before I had known Harry, so that was comfortable (...) WE’re friends with them as a couple.”

Although the close relationship between Princess Eugenie and Harry and Meghan reportedly came under strain when Eugenie was said to be ‘hurt’ when the couple announced they were expecting their first child together at her wedding to Jack Brooksbank, it would appear that it did not harm their ‘friendship.’

When Prince Harry returned for the unveiling of his late mother, Princess Diana’s statue and his late grandfather, Prince Philip’s funeral, he reportedly stayed with Princess Eugeinie and her husband Jack.

Eugenie and Meghan have also publicly shown their support for one another on Instagram. Princess Eugenie was chosen by the Duchess of Sussex for her 40 x 40 initiative in 2021, which was a project launched to mark Meghan’s 40th birthday. The initiative called on people to give 40 minutes of their time to mentor women returning to work. 

For the Instagram post, Princess Eugenie said: “To celebrate dear Meghan’s 40th birthday, I’m contributing 40 minutes of my time to helping women re-entering the workforce… If you can please join me to commit 40 minutes to community, service or mentorship.”

Princess Eugenie also shared her congratulations with Harry and Meghan on the birth of their daughter Lilibet Diana and said: “Congratulations dear cousins.. We couldn't be happier for you all.”

For the Super Bowl last year Princess Eugenie also joined Prince Harry for the event and were spotted together in the crowd. In their recent Netflix docuseries ‘Harry & Meghan,’ there was also footage of Princess Eugenie playing with Archie on her visit to California.

Princess Eugenie, who is currently pregnant with her second child, is said to be considering relocating to the States with husband Jack, and son August. Her recent appearance at an art show in Los Angeles is only adding to the reports that she might be considering moving abroad. 

Princess Eugenie and husband Jack are reportedly currently on holiday in the States and it is likely that they will visit Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in Montecito.
