The news may have just broken that Prince Harry is to attend King Charles’s coronation alone, but I did call it yesterday on PeopleWorld. I was convinced that Prince Harry would be at the ceremony without Meghan Markle, and I was right.

Buckingham Palace has confirmed the news that Prince Harry will join the more than 2000 guests at Westminster Abbey on May 6. Although he was only in London recently for the phone tapping at a privacy court case, it is thought he did not meet up with his brother, Prince William, nor his father, King Charles.

King Charles’s coronation will be the first time Prince Harry will be seen in public with the royal family since the fallout from his memoir Spare.

Although he is no longer a ‘working royal,’ it will be interesting to see if anything has been worked out to allow Prince Harry to appear on the balcony.

According to the Daily Mail, “the couple’s friend Omid Scobie said Archie’s birthday ‘played a factor in the couple’s decision’ and he expected it would be a ‘fairly quick trip to the UK’ for Harry. I concur wholeheartedly with Omid and I feel that Harry will want to be in and out of the UK in 24 hours to return to Meghan and his family in the States.
