No sooner has the whole world watched the Tom Bradby and Anderson Cooper Prince Harry interviews, the Duke of Sussex continues his media TV blitz with an appearance on The Late Show, hosted by Stephen Colbert. He filmed the interview on Monday night and it will be broadcast tonight in the US.

Footage has already emerged from the interview of Prince Harry downing Tequila shots and Stephen Colbert making ‘jokes’ on Twitter to publicise the interview at the expense of the Royal family and Prince Harry. “I will have so much to talk about with his Harry-ness.” He also said on his show: “Stock up on corgis and steal a priceless cultural treasure from one of your colonies because The Late Show is going imperial.”

With all these ‘jokes' bandying around, it does make one wonder who is currently masterminding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s PR? The name that keeps coming up is Christine Weil Schirmer who is senior advisor to the couple.

Christine, who previously worked for Apple and Pinterest, has something in common with Meghan as they both attended Northwestern University in Illinois. Christine studied journalism and according to the Evening Standard, “had been in charge of the site’s (Pinterest) since 2017 and left the company in July 2020 to help Harry and Meghan boost their global image as their head of communications. She has since been promoted to senior adviser.”

Mandana Dayani was another key figure in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's world as she was head of Archewell before deciding to step down.

According to Christine Weil Schirmer’s Linkedin profile, she has worked for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex/Archewell full-time for two years and four months and has been a senior adviser for them since July 2021. Christine was Global Head of Comms at Pinterest, where she worked for six years from July 2014 to July 2020.

It will be interesting to see how Christine will be advising Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on their next move and if she remains a key part of their team going forward...
