The Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Kate, made a special appearance at Westminster with their children for a special Christmas carol service hosted by the couple.

The Princess of Wales dazzled in a wrap dress with a muted tone of Viva Magenta. She paired the look with matching accessories, opting for wine-colored pumps, gloves, and a croc-embossed clutch.

The stunning colour seemed to be quite the trend among the royal family with Kate’s daughter Charlotte donning a similar shade. William’s cousin Zara Phillips, and Kate’s sister Pippa Middleton, who walked in together also chose to wear the popular colour both of whom were seen wearing long form coats in a burgundy-purple colour, close to Kate’s.

The event was attended by many of the members of the Royal family including King Charles III and Queen Consort Camila, as well as Sophie, Countess of Wessex, who looked chic in a white coat, brown boots and leopard print bag to complete the look.

The carol service was organised as a tribute to the life and legacy of Queen Elizabeth II who died in September. This will be the family’s first Christmas without the monarch. The official Twitter account for the Prince and Princess of Wales tweeted pictures of a Christmas tree at Westminster with a small Paddington ornament to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II.

The Tweet read: “Getting ready to welcome our #TogetherAtChristmas guests, celebrating those who have gone above and beyond in their communities and paying tribute to Her Late Majesty The Queen”

Kensington Palace shared the following statement: "The carol service will celebrate and showcase the joy that human connection can bring: forging friendships and strengthening communities, creating legacies of humility and kindness, whilst also providing relief and comfort in times of difficulty or loss. The service will combine both traditional and modern elements, reaching people of all faiths and none."

The carol service took place on the same day the second part of Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan drops on the streaming platform. Both Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace said they would not be commenting on the show.
