After weeks of speculation, here is who appeared on the Royal balcony for King Charles’ Coronation

Following the two-hour Coronation ceremony in Westminster Abbey, the Coronation procession and a salute in Buckingham Palace gardens, King Charles got to enjoy his first balcony appearance as King.

The new monarch alongside the newly crowned Queen Camilla stepped out onto the iconic Buckingham Palace balcony to greet the masses lining the streets of The Mall while adorning the regal garments.

Who was going to appear on the balcony has been a hot topic leading up to 6 May, especially considering Prince Harry’s alleged demands to join his family despite the request breaking the rules of the Buckingham Palace balcony.

However, at long last, fans and viewers worldwide saw 16 members of the royal family take to the balcony to watch the flypast and wave in the reign of King Charles III. PeopleWorld takes a look at who was present:

King Charles III

The King stepped up to the balcony as his late mother did 70 years ago, following her coronation in 1973.

Queen Camilla

Alongside King Charles is the newly crowned Queen Camilla, who scrapped her previous title Queen Consort today in Westminster Abbey.

Prince William

King Charles’ eldest son and heir to the throne Prince William stood to the right of his father with his family.

Princess Catherine

Kate Middleton dazzled in Alexander McQueen at the Coronation, topping off the outfit with a beautiful silver flower crown.

Prince George and other Page Boys

As Head Page Boy, Prince George was joined by his fellow helpers dressed in red suits, mirroring either side of the new monarchs.

Princess Charlotte

While Prince George matched outfits with the other Page Boys, Princess Charlotte looked gorgeous in a similar Alexander McQueen dress to her Mum’s.

Prince Louis

Although there was some debate about Prince Louis’ attendance, the youngest Wales returned once more to the balcony, just a year after his infamous Platinum Jubilee flypast.

Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh

Prince Edward’s older brother was not the only one to receive a new title recently as the new Duke of Edinburgh stood next to Prince William.

Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh

One of the Queen's 'favourite' Royal Family members, Sophie Wessex, was present on the balcony today.

Lady Louise Windsor

Some reports suggested the 19-year-old Lady Louise Windsor ‘stole the show’ when she revealed a Suzannah London chiffon tea dress. She made an encore on the balcony.

James, Viscount Severn

The Queen’s youngest grandson James, Viscount Severn does not make many public appearances but joined his family at the ceremony and for the balcony picture.

Princess Anne

Princess Royal returned to Buckingham Palace riding behind King Charles and was once again seen on the Palace balcony with her husband.

Timothy Laurence

Tim Laurence has remained a loyal and respectful member of the Royal Family and joined Princess Anne, Prince Edward and Prince William on the right of the balcony (facing The Mall).

Duke of Gloucester

To be allowed on the balcony, one must be a full-time working Royal exemplified by the Duke of Gloucester, Queen Elizabeth’s cousin.

Duke of Kent

Although King Charles is the oldest monarch to be crowned in British history at 74, the Duke of Kent has held his title for more than 80 years.

Princess Alexandra

The Honourable Lady Ogilvy rounded out the 16 royal family members to appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony.
