Although it is has all been about up until now whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will attend the King’s coronation, back in Montecito, it is likely that as parents, the couple have been focusing on preparing for Prince Archie’s fourth birthday party.

With the potential news that it still might be feasible for Prince Harry to attend the coronation and his son’s celebrations, PeopleWorld looks at who the likely other guests might be and what the party might entail….

The guest list…

Doria Ragland

Without question, top of the guest list has to be Meghan Markle’s mother Doria Ragland, who without the presence of other grandparents such as King Charles, is set to play a key part in her grandchildrens’ lives as they grow up.

With all the fall out from Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare, Meghan has undoubtedly turned to her mother for support. She also spoke out for the first time in the couple’s Netflix docuseries where she described the last five years of her daughter’s life as ‘challenging’

Tyler Perry

As Tyler Perry is one of Princess Lilibet’s godparents and a pivotal figure in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s lives (he lent them his house after Megxit-when the couple stepped back as senior working royals), it is likely that he will be a guest at Prince Archie’s fourth birthday.

Tyler Perry was also a recent guest at Princess Lilibet’s christening at the couple’s Montecito home and flew out a choir for the event.

The 'unnamed' godmother

As yet, the godmother who was in attendance at Princess Lilibet’s christening is still officially unnamed. She might want to show her support as Princess Lilibet’s godmother and a friend of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle by attending Prince Archie’s birthday celebrations. PeopleWorld speculated that the ‘unnamed’ godmother could be Jill Smoller, a mutual friend of both Meghan Markle and Serena Wiliams, Vicky Tsai, the entrepreneurial friend of Meghan’s, Lorren Khumalo (Archie’s former nanny), Susan Wiliger (one of Meghan’s longest friends), or Abigail Spencer (another of Meghan’s good friends).

Prince Archie’s godparents, Tiggy Pettifer (Prince Harry and Prince William’s childhood nanny), Mark Dyer and Charlie van Straubenzee (Prince Harry’s close friends)

Considering it is the King’s coronation on the same day, it is unlikely that any of his godparents will want to be out of the UK on such a momentous occasion. However, they might want to show their loyalty to the couple by attending.

What kind of party it will be….

If Prince Harry does make it back in time to Montecito, he is unlikely to want to walk into a big extravagant affair (after the coronation). Although last year social media users decided to throw a virtual ‘Global Birthday Party’ for Archie, I am sure that Meghan will want to keep the affair more low-key in order not to detract from the occasion of his grandfather King Charles’s coronation.

Last year, Prince William and Kate Middleton took to social media to wish their nephew a happy birthday, as did King Charles (then Prince Charles) and Camilla who also shared a birthday tribute to Prince Archie. It will be interesting to see if they repeat this for his fourth birthday this year…
