Kate Middleton’s best high street looks of last year serve as inspiration for 2023

Kate Middleton certainly knows how to dazzle in designer labels such as Alexander McQueen and Jenny Packham, but she also knows how to work the high street too and most certainly did just that in 2022.

And her best high street looks of last year are sure to feature as inspiration in many of our wardrobes as the new year begins.

In September of this year, Kate visited Wales with Prince William. For the visit, she wore a beautiful red coat by L.K. Bennett. Whether deliberate or not, the coat just happened to be called the ‘Spencer’ coat, a nod to Kate’s late mother in law, Princess Diana.

Whenever Kate wears something from the high street, it sells out almost immediately, and this is the case with the £599 L.K.Bennett coat as it is currently out of stock.

Another of Kate Middleton’s winning high street looks of 2022 has to be the vibrant yellow Karen Millen dress she wore for an engagement to the Royal Surrey County Hospital’s Maternity Unit at Royal Surrey Hospital.

The dress, which is called the Structured Crepe Forever Pleat Belted Midi Dress, is available in different colours. You will also be pleased to hear that Kate’s actual dress in ochre is on sale and is currently priced at £175.20, so you will need to hurry up if you want to emulate the Princess’s high street style.

Another of Kate’s high street hits has to be the stylish Zara red blazer she wore when she visited the Copenhagen Infant Mental Health Project at the University of Copenhagen in February 2022. She teamed it with elegant black trousers and a black Aspinal bag.

Kate is used to rewearing outfits and had previously worn the Zara red blazer at the Euros when England played Germany in 2021. Again, no sooner had Kate worn the red blazer, it sold out.

As well as wearing smarter high street items, Kate also knows how to work the casual look too. She also sported an H & M jumper when she visited the Stenurten Forest Kindergarten in Denmark.
