While Prince Harry continues to turn royal family life upside down in his transatlantic television appearances, his cousin Zara Tindall is thoroughly enjoying life Down Under.

Zara and Mike Tindall have been ‘horsing’ around Australia’s Gold Coast as Princess Anne’s daughter takes part in a Magic Millions event, racing thoroughbreds across the beaches.

The pair have been ambassadors for the Australian racehorse auction house for many years and Zara has travelled to the event since 2013, only taking a break during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The couple looked content walking around Surfers Paradise on Tuesday despite the continued family furore back home, as 2023 marks 20 years since Zara and Mike first met in Australia during the Rugby World Cup.

Despite being booted out of the English squad during the 2003 championships, Mike’s return to the Gold Coast this time comes shortly after his successful stint in the I’m A Celebrity jungle where the former rugby player finished third to Lioness Jill Scott and MP Matt Hancock.

Although Mike did not scream ‘Get Me Out of Here’ on the ITV show, Prince Harry is cementing his path out of the royal family through his televised interviews with Tom Bradby, Anderson Cooper and Stephen Colbert.

The Duke of Sussex’s memoir Spare is released today [10 January] acknowledging ‘unwavering friendship and support’ from the likes of Tyler Perry, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, James Corden and long-time friends Nacho Figueras and his wife Delfina Blaquier.

Argentinian polo player Nacho has known Prince Harry for several years after competing against him in matches, and was invited to the royal wedding in St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.

As Spare became available globally, the Prince’s friends were seen rubbing shoulders with Mike and Zara for the Magic Millions polo match, with Harry’s cousins looking blissfully unaware about the ensuing chaos.

Zara and Delfina enjoyed hitting the polo ball to one another, but Princess Anne’s daughter was also seen having a ball with A-Listers Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky the same week at a society event.

The Tindalls seemingly have had continued success, while in a parallel universe the royals back in Britain are dodging shots taken by the Duke of Sussex.
