Another member of Sir Keir Starmer’s Labour party has been ‘administratively suspended’ after complaints were filed against their conduct.

Shadow foreign minister Bambos Charalambous is the latest to be suspended following MP Geraint Davies who is being investigated for ‘incredibly serious’ allegations about his behaviour.

Bambos Charalambous, the MP for Enfield, Southgate, now faces a similar investigation as he loses his whip and sits in the Commons as an independent MP.

Upon the news breaking, Bambos tweeted: “I am aware that there is an allegation that requires investigation by the Labour Party. It is right and proper that [the] process is allowed to take place. I will cooperate fully and play my full part. It is not appropriate to say anything further at this time.”

The 56-year-old, born Charalambos "Bambos" Charalambous, joined Keir Starmer’s Home Office team in 2020 as Shadow Minister for Crime Reduction and Courts before swapping roles with Holly Lunch the following year in a reshuffle to make him the Shadow Minister for Immigration.

Bambos has been serving as Labour MP for Enfield, Southgate since 2017 and has amassed a net worth of between $1-$5 million.

The now suspended frontbencher’s family comes from Cyprus but not a lot is known about his family life online at time of writing.
