Sir Keir Starmer has been increasingly vocal this week as the NHS is front and centre following its landmark 75th anniversary. He gained his knighthood in 2014 for his services to ‘law and criminal justice’, and assumed the role of Labour Party Leader in April 2020.

In light of this, PeopleWorld takes a look at where Keir Starmer lives, his family and his net worth.

Labour runs in Sir Keir Starmer’s blood as his parents, who were supporters of the party, named him after the party’s first parliamentary leader Keir Hardie.

Born in London and raised in Surrey, Sir Keir has returned to the city’s capital where he lives in Kentish Town in Camden, North London with his wife Victoria Alexander and their two children, a son Toby and a daughter, who has never been publicly named.

Victoria was a solicitor before working in occupational health at the NHS and becoming a governor at her children’s school. After meeting Keir when they were both working as lawyers, the pair tied the knot in 2007.

The family home in Kentish Town has been priced up at £1.75 million and Keir reportedly also owns seven acres of land in Surrey next to his childhood home, which he inherited in 1996.

While the Labour leader has previously come under scrutiny for the acres of greenbelt worth £10 million as some disputed him being a ‘man of the people’ with that much land to his name, the 60-year-old politician silenced critics by explaining that the fields were bought for his late mother who suffered from Still’s disease, so she could still see the donkeys they rescued and cared for without leaving home.

Taking into account his land, home, law and political careers, Sir Keir Starmer has a net worth of approximately £7.7 million.
