Melania Trump's woes at home are revealed by Donald Trump himself

The mysterious figure of Melania Trump, who enjoyed and endured her stint as America’s First Lady, has an ongoing battle with a big child at home.

It’s not her son, Barron Trump, aged 16, who could be forgiven for going through a trying adolescence. Rather, it’s her husband, the political Kryptonite, Donald Trump.

Her ongoing stint as wife to The Donald has seen her being told to ‘just leave me alone’ when she says he comes home looking ‘angry and upset’. The source of this information is, bafflingly, Trump himself.

The former president, while announcing his third presidential bid, admitted that he has a short fuse when he gets home from a long campaign day.

He said, during his hour-long speech: “It hasn’t been a joyride for our great first lady”, and asked Melania to stand up during his announcement speech at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday 15 November.

“I go home and she says – they do love her – and she says, ‘You look angry and upset,’ and I tell her, ‘Just leave me alone, I got this,’” said Donald.

Donald officially launched his 2024 campaign days after reportedly blaming Melania for apparently advising him to support Republican Dr Mehmet Oz for the Senate. Oz lost the high-profile race in Pennsylvania to Democrat John Fetterman.

Melania on Tuesday night appeared enthusiastic at her husband’s announcement event. She sat next to their son Barron Trump, and the two of them followed Donald as he greeted guests at Mar-a-Lago on his way out.

Former US President, Trump, was found not guilty of inciting violence at Capitol riots at the start of 2021 that left five people dead. However, multiple federal and state investigations are ongoing regarding the 6 January 2021 attack on the US Capitol, as well as his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election, his handling of sensitive government documents and his family business.

The reasons for the long-suffering Melania’s silence and support to Donald is a question that refuses to be answered, for now. Maybe one day we’ll hear the full story from the woman who has been by the side of one of America’s most divisive politicians.
