As Rishi Sunak becomes the UK’s Prime Minister today I sit down with two of NationalWorld’s journalists on this episode of Uncovered to take a closer look at his rise to power and what may lie ahead.

Just eight years since he was elected as an MP for Richmond in Yorkshire, Southampton-born Sunak has made his way into Downing Street. We look at his rise to power - which was undoubtedly helped by Liz Truss’ ineptitude - and consider some of the issues he has faced along the way, including the controversy around his green card status and the tax affairs of his billionaire wife, Akshta Murty.

We also consider what lies ahead, following an extremely turbulent time for the Conservatives and the country, and what decisions he might make in relation to policy and his cabinet, despite staying tight-lipped since his predecessor Truss stepped down last week.
