Although there has been plenty of speculation that Ron DeSantis was going to enter the 2024 presidential race, he is reportedly, according to NBC News, set to announce it in a live Twitter event with Elon Musk this coming Wednesday.

According to the BBC, “Mr Musk, Twitter’s CEO, is scheduled to host a Twitter Spaces event with Mr DeSantis at 18:00 local time (22:00 GMT). The BBC goes on to say that “Mr DeSantis is considered the main challenger to former president Donald Trump.”

Although Ron DeSantis is seen as Donald’s Trump biggest rival, The Independent has revealed that “the latest polls show Mr DeSantis trailing Mr Trump.”

Ron DeSantis is married to Casey DeSantis, who is a former TV news anchor, the mother of three is also a breast cancer survivor. The couple have three children, Madison, Mason and Mamie.

Casey DeSantis  told First Coast News  how she met her husband. “We met at the University of North Florida at the driving range off Kernan in 2018,” she said. “I kept looking over my shoulder because I wanted the bucket of balls that somebody had left because my swing was so terrible.I needed as much practice as I could possibly get. As I’m looking over behind me, Ron is over there. He thinks I’m looking at him. I was really looking at the balls. Long story short we started to talk and that’s how we met.
