The Sir William Hastings suite; is this where President Joe Biden will reside during his visit to Ireland?
People in this article
President Joe Biden has touched down in Northern Ireland earlier today, and as of writing has already addressed attendees during his speech at Ulster University and a morning tea with Rishi Sunak. That morning tea could quite possibly be part of the all-inclusive breakfast that the Grand Central Belfast has to offer, should Biden be stopping in the hotels’ most illustrious suite - The Sir William Hastings suite.
Named after Sir William Hastings, the founder of the Hastings Hotels group, which owns and operates The Grand Central, the suite is located on the top floor of the hotel and offers stunning views of Belfast and the surrounding areas. It features a king-size bed with high-quality linens, a large sitting area with comfortable chairs and a sofa, and a dining area with a table that can seat up to six people.

Guests staying in the Sir William Hastings Suite also have access to a range of exclusive amenities, including a complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails in the hotel's Executive Lounge - which looks to be where the talks with Rishi Sunak took place earlier today. In addition to the suite's luxurious amenities, guests can enjoy all of the facilities that The Grand Central has to offer, including multiple restaurants and bars, a fitness centre, and a spa - that we hope, as opposed to tales about the then vice president of the United States swimming naked back in 2014. We'd imagine that no shorts, no service when it comes to using those facilities, even if you are the President of the United States of America.
