Will Donald Trump get to celebrate his birthday in Bedminster after indictment remarks?

Donald Trump may be wanting a nice, relaxed day of golf for his 77th birthday tomorrow, echoing that of his previous two birthdays at Bedminster, however, he might instead be facing the fallout of his second indictment.

The former president returned to Miami ahead of his Tuesday court appearance where he faces 37 felony charges relating to his handling of classified documents that ‘had serious national security implications’, at his Florida Mar-a-Lago estate.

However the 76-year-old, who is currently the frontrunner for the 2024 presidential candidate for the Republican party, is due to return to Bedminster tonight after an hour’s court case to remark on his indictment at approximately 20.15 (which is midnight GMT).

This homecoming, of sorts, fits with Trump’s birthday on 14 June which he often celebrates with a round of golf around his Bedminster-based National Golf Club as seen by his 2021-2022 birthdays.

Last year, sources told People: “Whatever Donald thinks about his birthday and advancing years, he keeps to himself…He will likely play golf at Bedminster—as he has been doing for weeks—and have a small, low-key dinner at the club with a few members of his family.

"He doesn't go all out for his birthday. He is pretty routine so don't look for fireworks."

The question remains though whether this could be his last birthday in Bedminster if he is dealing with the second indictment fallout and potentially facing time in prison. Will he have enough time for a quick hole in one and to blow his candles out with his family?

As for whether Melania Trump will join her husband on his 77th birthday tomorrow is still up for debate…judging from her recent playbook of showing a supportive front to her controversial spouse in the press while maintaining a large physical distance, Melania may remain in Trump Tower in Manhattan, a 90-minute drive from Bedminster, where she was last spotted.

Melania used the same playbook earlier this year when Donald Trump was indicted over hush money payments to Stormy Daniels, choosing to avoid the New York hearing and the subsequent rally at Mar-a-Lago.

It would not be surprising to hear if Melania did not buy Trump a birthday present, instead merely posting a message on social media, after the former president notably ‘forgot’ to get his wife a gift for her birthday.

Trump failed to mark Melania’s birthday in April when she celebrated with a small group of friends, instead choosing to post 19 other times on social media.
