Stephen Nolan leaves radio show early after receiving call that his mum had taken ill

This morning's episode of the Stephen Nolan Show was forced off air early as the presenter did not return after the 10 o'clock news bulletin.
The Stephen Nolan Show was cut short by thirty minutes following a discussion on the war in the Middle East.

Hide AdBut the reason for his quick exit was explained on ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter).
He said he had received a call while on air to tell him his beloved mother, Audrey, had taken ill.
Posting on the social media platform, the Shankill-born presenter said: "I got a phone call during the show to say my mum took ill this morning after falling overnight.
"I’m just letting you all know that’s why I left early . Mum will always come first."

Hide AdCountless followers and friends have posted under his heartfelt comment explaining his sudden departure.
They include: “Hope Audrey is ok”, “Trust all is well. Will be praying for your Mum”, “Best wishes to your mum stephen, I got that same call last August. It immediately becomes your priority. Hope all is well, Audrey” and “Sending my best wishes, you did the right thing”.
