A1 crash: Motorway near Hatfield closed after 'serious' collision as emergency services on scene

National Highways said the A1(M) northbound near Hatfield between J1 (South Mimms) & J3 (near Hatfield) was shut on Sunday morning due to the incident.

Emergency services including Hertfordshire Police are on scene dealing with the incident. The police said on X: “We are currently at the scene of a collision on the #A1M near #Hatfield.

“All northbound lanes have been closed between J1 South Mimms and J2 Hatfield to allow emergency services to deal with the incident. Please avoid the area and seek an alternate route where possible.”
