M25 traffic: Vehicle fire causes long delays by M4 and M40 junctions near Heathrow

There are long delays on a motorway after a vehicle caught fire.
The M25 in Buckinghamshire has three out of four lanes closed between Junction 16 with the M40 and Junction 15 with the M4.
There are delays of 45 minutes on the anti-clockwise side, say National Highways.
The AA traffic monitoring site has reported: “Road blocked and severe delays due to vehicle fire on M25 anticlockwise. Congestion to J17 (Maple Cross), and back along each side on the M40. Onlookers queueing from J13 (Staines). Stopped since 10.45am.”
