M60 traffic: Motorway shut anti-clockwise in Greater Manchester because of burst water pipe
A motorway has been closed in one direction due to a water pipe bursting.
Overnight works on the M60 anti-clockwise in Greater Manchester between Junction 17 for Prestwich and Junction 14 near Swinton, the M61 junction, overran their scheduled end time of 5am because of flooding affecting the carriageway between Junction 16 and Junction 15.

National Highways confirmed: “The flooding is due to a burst water pipe.”
There is a diversion in place, and United Utilities water company has been brought in to fix the problem.
