Brits enjoy first nights out in months after easing of restrictions

Revellers flocked to beer gardens on the first Friday night since they were able to reopen

People all over England enjoyed their first night out in months last night, following the easing of Covid restrictions earlier this week.

Beer gardens and outdoor seating areas were packed with revellers in cities and towns all over the country, on the first Friday night since pubs and bars have been allowed to reopen.

Things aren’t totally back to normal yet, with social distancing guidelines still in effect and pubs only able to serve people outdoors.

According to the lockdown roadmap laid out by Boris Johnson earlier this year, hospitality venues won’t be able to fully reopen until 17 May at the earliest.
