Jurors have found former police officer Derek Chauvin guilty of murder over the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis last year.

Chauvin, 45, was filmed kneeling on the black man’s neck for over nine minutes when he was arrested in May 2020.

The footage led to worldwide outrage and protests against systemic racism.

After the jury deliberated for less than a day, the ex-policeman was found guilty of all charges - second-degree murder, third-degree murder and manslaughter.

Chauvin will remain in jail until he is sentenced.
