UK areas with the lowest vaccination uptake among over 40s - NationalWorld digital front page


NationalWorld’s Aimee Stanton looked at the data from across the health authorities of the UK to put together this analysis on the areas that are lagging behind the national average.
As England prepares to ‘unlock’ on 21 June, the data suggests some Londoners may still be reluctant to receive the life-saving jab, despite ongoing fears the Delta variant is spreading more rapidly throughout communities.

London has the lowest take up in the whole of England with 86% vaccinated, compared to a national average of 93%.


This compares to averages of 96% in Scotland, 94% in Wales and 91% in Northern Ireland.
