With over 80 pups awaiting adoption at Dogs Trust centres in Darlington, Leeds, and Edinburgh, there are many lovable options for potential pet parents. This initiative is part of the charity's commitment to finding “forever homes” for all its rescues, ensuring each pup gets the loving family they deserve.
Meanwhile, in Northamptonshire, the Irchester-based charity Animals in Need is also seeking families for a group of seven adorable yet abandoned dogs.
Here are some of the most adorable pups that you may have a hard time saying no to.

5. Leyla (Beagle)
Leyla is a sweet three-year-old Beagle. She’s friendly with other dogs on walks, but she’d be best as the only dog in the home. Leyla has separation anxiety, so she can’t be left alone for long periods. She needs an active family who can take her on long walks, though she’ll need to stay on the lead as she has no recall. | AIN Photo: AIN

6. Dylan
Dylan is a four-year-old retired racer with striking stripes and a wonderfully friendly, laid-back attitude. He’s the perfect companion for any home, enjoying life’s simple pleasures like strolls, naps in the sun, and tasty treats. Dylan is fantastic with people and other dogs, currently sharing his kennel with Diva, where he’s been a great influence on her confidence. He’s impeccably clean in his kennel - no accidents - and walks beautifully on a lead. As a precaution from his racing days, he’s muzzled during walks. | AIN Photo: AIN

7. Diva
Diva is a sweet, four-year-old retired racer who’s a bit shy and still getting used to the world. She adores people, although she may be a little timid at first, and loves to cuddle once she’s comfortable. Diva enjoys the company of other dogs and would thrive in a home with a gentle but confident dog to help her build confidence. She’s currently sharing a kennel with her buddy Dylan. She walks beautifully on a lead and wears a muzzle on walks as a precaution from her racing days. Diva is also very clean in her kennel. | AIN Photo: AIN

8. RJ
RJ is full of personality—playful and lively, with a tendency to get a bit overexcited. There’s no aggression to it; he’s just a big, clumsy dog who’d do well with older kids who can handle his energy. He loves his sleep and can often be found napping in funny positions, which seem to work for him. RJ is very affectionate, enjoys meeting people, and walks nicely on a lead. He generally gets along well with other dogs but needs some supervision around food. RJ will make a great companion for a family who can appreciate his quirks. Photo: AIN
