The body of a man has been discovered in a field.
Police were called at just after 9.10am on Friday, to reports that a man’s body had been found in a field near Westley Lane in Bury St Edmunds.
Although formal identification procedures have not yet taken place, the deceased is believed to Darren Bird, 54, who was reported missing after last being seen on Saturday 14 September. The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.
