"Dearly loved" teenager Joshua Blake dies after celebrating 18th birthday
A “dearly loved” teenager who had just celebrated his 18th birthday has been killed in a horror car crash.
The family of a teenager killed in a horror crash having just celebrated his 18th birthday have paid tribute to a "dearly loved" young man who will be "greatly missed". Joshua Blake, who his family said had "many friends", was a passenger in a car when it crashed near Wareham at around 8.42pm on Wednesday, February 18.
The incident, in Morden Road, involved a black Volvo V70 and saw the 20-year-old driver and another teenage passenger taken to hospital with "serious injuries". Both remain in hospital, police said.
Now, his family have spoken about the teen who was sadly declared dead at the scene of the crash. "Joshua had only just celebrated his 18th birthday before he tragically lost his life," they said.

"He leaves behind his loving parents Martin and Caroline, brother Samuel, sister Chloe, his wider family and many friends. Joshua had a passion for supercars, which he always took the opportunity to photograph. He enjoyed riding his motorbike. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed, always remembered by all who knew him."
A Go Fund Me campaign to raise money to support the family after Joshua's death has so far raised more than £8,800. Danny Cox, a friend of the family who started the appeal, said it was to help with "the unexpected costs for his funeral and other expenses".
"Please donate as much as you can to assist this lovely family in this time of deep sadness, but tempered with the knowledge we will see him again in heaven," he added.
Dorset Police officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Team are continuing to investigate the full circumstances of the crash and are urging witnesses to come forward, a spokesperson said, as well as anyone with relevant dashcam footage or other information.
Anyone with information should contact Dorset Police by email to [email protected], or by calling 101, quoting incident reference 55260024369. They can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
