Torfaen: Woman with four children 'forced into van' as police investigate 'suspicious behaviour'

Police have launched an investigation after a woman with four children were reportedly “forced into a van”.

Gwent Police said it is investigating "suspicious behaviour" that happened on Broadway, Pontypool, in Torfaen, just after midnight on Monday (October 21).

The force reported receiving a call about a woman being "forced into a van by a man." The four children involved are believed to be aged between two and seven. The man was described as being in his 20s or 30s, with a medium build, and wearing a lime green top.

The woman also had four children with her. The van was a silver Ford Transit Connect, which had black bars on the top. Officers say enquiries are ongoing to try and find the van and identify those involved.

According to police, the woman was in her 20s or 30s and about 5'5" tall, with brown hair that was tied up in a bun, according to police.
