Former Real Madrid player Vinicius Tobias gets baby's name tattooed on his arm - but then learns he is not the dad

Former Real Madrid player Vinicius Tobias tattooed his baby's name on his arm only to find out he was not her real father days later.

Tobias' ex-wife, influencer Ingrid Lima, announced in a recent Instagram post that the 20-year-old footballer is not the father of her newborn daughter Maite.

Little Maite was born on October 8. To honour his supposed daughter, the former Real Madrid player, who is now a right-back for Ukraine's Shakhtar Donetsk, got a tattoo that reads "Maite, I love you".

However, as his ex Ingrid now revealed, she is not his biological daughter. She clarified that she had an on-and-off relationship with Vinicius and that during that period, she had been involved with someone else.

According to her, they decided to take a DNA test to confirm or deny Vinicius' paternity, which came back negative.

In the social media post, Ingrid reportedly wrote: "I came to give a statement about something that is getting annoying and that, unfortunately, I would have to come out on publicly to give you an explanation.

"Vinicius and I haven't been together for a while. During that time, I was in a relationship with someone and so was he. We both moved on with our lives. In the meantime, Maite came along. We decided to do a DNA test, and Maite is not Vinicius' daughter."

The player did not comment after the paternity result was announced.
