Suspect Igor Zaika, 41, had been in a long-time conflict with the father of the victim, named Milena Shevelyova. After a night of drinking, he decided to destroy the man's farm in Ushkanka village, in the Uzhursky District of Russia and walked in armed with a knife and wooden stick on November 23.
According to reports, Zaika had intended to slay the farm animals and set the place on fire but he was taken by surprise when young Milena walked in to feed the pigs.

Hide AdIt was initially believed that the girl was attacked by the aggressive animals who bit her in several places. She had a large wound on her left leg which caused her to bleed out.
Milena was discovered lying in a pool of blood by her horrified boyfriend shortly before midnight. Now, investigators have learned that the real culprit was Zaika, who threatened the girl with a knife and repeatedly struck her on the head when she tried to fight back. The severe blows to her head caused her to fall unconscious.
Zaika then raped the young girl and left her to the pigs to finish her off, believing they would eat her. Thinking he had disposed of the body, Zaika then returned home and burnt the stick he beat the victim with as well as her phone.
During police interrogation, Zaika admitted to the crime. He was arrested and charged with murder and sexual assault of a minor, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for Krasnoyarsk Krai and the Republic of Khakassia said in a November 27 statement.

Hide AdZaika reportedly worked as a cattleman at JSC Andronovsky, where the deceased girl's father was a farm manager. Conflicts between the men were reported to have occurred regularly.
Villagers say that he likes to drink and cause trouble. Zaika has already served time for serious bodily harm resulting in death through negligence, reports say.
He spent four years in jail and was released in 2007. The Uzhur District Court ordered a two-month pretrial detention during a hearing on November 28. The investigation continues.
