It would seem that there are no winners following the fallout from Prince Harry’s memoir Spare. Ipsos Mori have released a poll that has revealed that the public approval ratings of all royals has slipped since last December.

However, it is Prince William who appears to have suffered the most as his popularity has declined by 8 percentage points. There is not much in it however between the royals as Kate Middleton ties with Prince Harry at a loss of 7 points.

Despite Prince William’s popularity plummeting, he can take some comfort from the poll that shows he is still the most liked Royal with a positive rating of 61 per cent. He is followed by Kate and Princess Anne, who tie for second on 60 per cent.

For those of you who are interested in Prince Andrew’s ‘popularity,’ he is as expected is at the bottom of the scale, with only 10 per cent having a ‘favourable’ view of him.

Although Prince Harry’s memoir Spare might be flying off the shelves, his personal popularity amongst Britons has also taken a battering.

Half of those who were asked their opinions in the latest Ipsos Mori poll revealed that they held ‘unfavourable’ views on him.

This is in comparison to the nearly 70% who supported him when he and Meghan Markle decided to step back as senior working members of the royal family.

Another interesting take out from the Mori poll is that despite Harry’s memoir becoming the fastest selling non- fiction book ever (after selling 750,000 copies in the UK), only 23% of those polled planned to read it.

When it comes to Meghan Markle’s popularity, she comes in at 19%, only 9 % above Prince Andrew. Prince Harry’s popularity is 23 %, Camila, Queen Consort is at 38%, Prince Edward is at 42%, and King Charles is at 51%.
