British Open Snooker 2021: draw, results, schedule, expected finalists - how to watch on TV and live stream

The British Open has returned, 17 years since it last featured on the British snooker schedule in 2004.

The British Open is the second ranking event of the calendar year, following on from the Championship League.

The tournament will take place at the Morningside Arena in Leicester, where last year’s World Championship finalists Mark Selby and Shaun Murphy will go head-to-head on 17 August.

When is the British Open 2021?

The snooker tournament will run across six days, from 16 - 22 August.

The schedule for the first round has already been published and the first four rounds will be played on a best-of-five format.  A random draw will be made prior to each round.

The schedule includes morning, afternoon and evening sessions.

Where can I watch the British open?

ITV4 will be covering each day’s events, kicking off with coverage of the afternoon session from 12.45pm.

The morning session matches will be available to be streamed on betting websites, such as bet365, from 9am and on matchroom.live.

Who are the expected finalists in the British Open?

According to betting odds from Coral, as of 19 August the most likely finalists who could go head-to-head on 22 August are Mark Selby and Judd Trump.

World Champion defender Selby has increased his likeability to win, since the open began on August 16.

Coral now have odds on Selby winning at 6/1, with Higgins closing in at 13/2.

However, it is dark horse Judd Trump  who has had an impressive year so far and is the predicted winner, with odds of 4/1.
