England host San Marino at Wembley tonight in their opening World Cup qualifier of the 2022 campaign – and Gareth Southgate’s side are unsurprisingly overwhelming favourites.

England are 1/200 to see off their part-time opponents with 6-0, 7-0 and 8-0 being the most likely scores, all at 5/1, according to Betfair.

San Marino have failed to win a competitive match in their history, and breaking that duck at Wembley tonight would go down as the biggest shocks ever in international football.

Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “San Marino beating England tonight would be one of, if not the biggest, ever upset in world football.
