Aston Villa make ‘shock’ move for Hull City star Jaden Philogene

There is a new contender in the race to sign Hull City’s Jaden Philogene. Previously, he’s been targeted by clubs in the Premier League - now, Aston Villa have joined them in pursuit of his signature.

Philogene is a man in demand this summer. He has received concrete interest from Ipswich Town, Everton and Crystal Palace - it looks increasingly likely that he will leave Hull in the summer.

In a post on his official X (formerly Twitter) page, journalist Fabrizio Romano wrote: “Aston Villa have activated the matching rights clause for Jaden Philogene after Ipswich Town bid. If Hull City receive higher bids from elsewhere, Aston Villa must decide whether to stay in the process. Ipswich Town keep insisting, same for Crystal Palace and Everton.”

Newcastle United ‘interested’ in West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen

Newcastle United have ‘interest’ in West Ham star Jarrod Bowen, according to a report from the Northern Echo. The Toon are in the hunt for a new winger, with Bowen being one of their preferred choices.

Nevertheless, West Ham will not let go of one of their key players without a fight. He is under contract at the London Stadium until 2030 - the Hammers will likely only allow him to leave for an enormous amount of money. It’s expected that they will demand no less than £100 million for his services.
