Best XI of players who could have played for England but chose to represent other countries
How many of these players would get into the current England squad?

England have a number of quality players that make up one of the best teams we have seen represent our country in a long time.
Most of the Three Lions stars are born in England, while the likes of Raheem Sterling and Marc Guehi travelled from overseas when they were young but chose to represent the country they spent most of their lives in.
Meanwhile, there are a number of stars that were eligible to play for England but have instead chosen to switch their allegiance to another country.
Whether it is because they can’t get in Southgate’s squad or they feel no connection to our country - England missed out on some very good players.
Here is the best XI of players that could have represented England but chose to play for a different national team...

1. Dillon Barnes (Jamaica)
QPR’s Barnes was born in London but made his international debut for Jamaica last summer.

2. Victor Moses (Nigeria)
Moses was born in Nigeria but spent five years with England’s youth ranks until he made his senior debut for Nigeria in 2012.

3. Ethan Pinnock (Jamaica)
The London-born defender qualified to play for Jamaica through his father. He made his international debut last year.

4. Liam Moore (Jamaica)
The Stoke City loanee was born in Loughborough and played for the Three Lions up until U21 level. He has since made nine senior appearances for Jamaica.
