Who won the Euro 2020 player of the tournament award?

Italy's penalty shootout hero Gianluigi Donnarumma made it a double scoop on the night as he won the player of the tournament award at Euro 2020.

The 22-year-old has become an established international for Italy under Roberto Mancini, with 33 caps to his name already and started every Azzurri fixture at the Euros.

Donnarumma didn't concede a goal during the group stage of the Euros campaign, shipping just four in the tournament overall in the seven matches Italy played.

He underlined his importance to the Italian team during the Euros final shootout, saving penalties from England duo Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka to win the competition.

Who won the Euro 2020 young player of the tournament award?

Spain midfielder Pedri has been named Euro 2020 young player of the tournament by UEFA's team of technical observers, which includes David Moyes and Robbie Keane.

Eighteen-year-old Pedri was a consistent presence for Spain throughout the Euros, despite having won just four caps prior to the 2021 tournament taking place this summer.

He received widespread acclaim in the semi final loss to Italy for completing 65 of the 66 passes attempted across the 120 minutes of action before the penalty shootout.

Players have to be born on or after 1 January 1998 to be eligible for the award and he becomes the second recipient of the award after Portugal's Renato Sanches won it in 2016.

Who won the Euro 2020 golden boot?

Despite being knocked out of the Euros in the Round of 16 with Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo has won the golden boot award at Euro 2020.

Ronaldo, 36, scored five goals at the 2021 football tournament and claimed one assist for his Portugal team to be handed the top scorer accolade.

Czech Republic front man Patrik Schick also scored five but had no assists to his name.

Karim Benzema of France, Emil Forsberg of Sweden, Romelu Lukaku of Belgium and England captain Harry Kane all ended the Euros with four goals each.

Who made the Euro 2020 team of the tournament?

The official UEFA team of the tournament includes Donnarumma in goal and fellow Italians Leonardo Bonucci, Jorginho, Leonardo Spinazzola and Federico Chiesa.

Kyle Walker has been a reliable presence in the England defensive unit alongside Harry Maguire and forward Raheem Sterling has been the Three Lions' best performer throughout.

Pedri from Spain has excelled in midfield as well as Denmark's Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, with one of the tournament’s main marksmen Romelu Lukaku picked as the main front man.

UEFA team of the tournament (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Walker, Boncucci, Maguire, Spinazzola; Pedri, Hojbjerg, Jorginho; Sterling, Chiesa, Lukaku.

Who won the Euro 2020 golden glove award?

Unlike the World Cup, there is no official golden glove award to be handed out at the Euros.

England No.1 Jordan Pickford claimed five clean sheets in the seven games played, and only conceded once in the other two vs Denmark and vs Italy in the latter stages.

He became the first goalkeeper in Euros history to keep a clean sheet in the first five matches of the tournament and statistically has the edge on Donnarumma who kept three clean sheets.
