Everton confirmed the sacking of Rafael Benitez yesterday afternoon following their disappointing 2-1 defeat to Norwich City.
The loss meant the Toffees had claimed only one win in 13 matches and left them six points above the relegation zone.
A number of names have already been linked with the vacant role at Goodison Park as the Merseyside club look to appoint their fifth permanent manager in six years.
