Fans react as Zack Steffen howler gifts Liverpool goal in FA Cup semi-final

Liverpool enjoyed the dream start in the FA Cup semi-final this afternoon as they went 2-0 up inside 17 minutes against Manchester City.

Ibrahima Konate bagged an early opener to make it three goals in three games for the defender, before Zack Steffen shocked fans with a horrific mistake to hand them their second.

Sadio Mane’s pressure following a pass back proved to be too much for the American goalkeeper, who held onto the ball for far too long before the Liverpool attacker slid in to poke the ball into the net.

Steffen has become Man City’s first choice keeper in domestic cup competitions, but fans will certainly be wishing it had been Ederson in between the posts this afternoon.
