FIFA top 20 rankings in full as World Cup 2022 draw approaches - England sit fifth

Here are the new FIFA world rankings with England fifth but who make up the rest of the top 20?

Despite England already confirming their place in the 2022 World Cup in November, the latest international break provided us with some very exciting television.

A number of countries were made to battle it out for their spot on the plane to Qatar and as a result we have seen some of the stars from the 2020 Euros get knocked out before the tournament has even begun.

Sweden were beaten by Poland while Colombia also miss out, however the most dramatic omission is Italy, who were beaten in the playoff semi-final to North Macedonia.

All of the international fixtures over the past week have had an impact on FIFA’s world rankings, which were updated and published today.

Here are the new top 20, based on each team’s points and the difference since FIFA’s previous world rankings last month.

You can check out the rest of the rankings here.
