Michael and Jordan explained why they think the Nations League has been a huge success and why it should be seen as a major achievement for Les Bleus.

Meanwhile, it was a mixed weekend for the home nations, with Scotland and Republic of Ireland earning victories, while Wales and Northern Ireland were less convincing in their respective showings. Our writers also analysed which of the quartet are most likely to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.

Finally, the pair gave their views on the 2021 Ballon d’Or nominees, which were announced on Friday. Both Michael and Jordan are in agreement that neither Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo should win the trophy this year, and feel a non-Premier League striker deserves to scoop the top award.

The show will return later this week, to preview what should be an enthralling weekend of Premier League action including Liverpool and Chelsea’s trips to Watford and Brentford respectively, and Newcastle United’s sold-out home clash against Spurs – fresh off the back of their big-money takeover.
