Euro 2020: Seven players who could benefit from a 26-man England squad after key UEFA decision

A few more seats have just opened up on that much-fabled plane...

In many ways, Euro 2020 will be a very different tournament to other iterations of the competition that we’ve seen in the past.

For one thing, it’s taking place a year later than originally planned, while also boasting more teams than ever before, and visiting more host cities than a backpacker with an Interrail ticket.

But with extra space opening in Gareth Southgate’s squad, who will be the lucky few to benefit from the move?

We’ve picked out seven players for whom this latest update could prove to be a very welcome boost...
