Gareth Southgate’s had to rely on extra time to edge their way past Denmark in the semis, while the Italians were taken all the way to a penalty shootout by Spain.

So far, England have played all six of their matches at this tournament in their white home shirt, but will that change when they come up against Roberto Mancini’s side?

We’ve got all the information you need to know on both teams’ sartorial choices below…

What colour kit will England be wearing against Italy?

England will almost certainly be wearing their white home shirt when they face Italy on Sunday evening.

The Three Lions have worn the Nike-made kit in each of their first six matches at Euro 2020, and have conceded just one goal while wearing it at the tournament.

Despite the game being played at Wembley, Italy are the designated home team for the match, and as such, are expected to play in their usual all-blue strip.

Consequently, England are likely to make a return to the white shorts that we saw earlier in the tournament.

The only way the Three Lions will not wear white is if Italy opt to wear their away kit, but that seems highly unlikely.

What are the omens like for England’s choice of strip?

There are two ways to look at this.

On the one hand, the only other time that England have won a major tournament, back in 1966, they wore their home kit for every game except the final.

Going with their typical white kit in the final would, therefore, be unchartered territory.

That being said, white strips definitely do hold an advantage over the course of Euro 2020 itself.

Since the end of the group stage, teams have worn white kits on nine occasions, and have beaten their opponents every single time.

Make of that what you will, England fans. Make of that what you will...
