Hampden Park will host the national side for the first time since they went down 3-1 to Croatia at the European Championship finals.

It will be the first qualifier played at Hampden since March when Steve Clarke’s men beat the Faroe Islands 4-0.

The two countries have met twice, both times during qualifying for the 2006 World Cup.

The first ever meeting of the two countries came in October 2004, a 1-1 draw in Chisinau.

The one and only previous meeting at Hampden was in June 2005, a 2-0 win for the home side with Christian Dailly and James McFadden on the score sheet.

Scotland came through Wednesday’s defeat in Copenhagen without picking up any fresh injuries or suspensions, meaning Steve Clarke will have the same pool of players to select from as he did for the match in Copenhagen.

However, Premier League stars Stuart Armstrong and John McGinn remain unavailable as do Celtic duo James Forrest and Greg Taylor and young Rangers full back Nathan Paterson.
