The very first match of the Euros remains the highest scoring match at the tournament.

A nine-goal thriller saw Yugoslavia beat France 5-4 in the 1960 semi-final at the Parc des Princes in Paris

It will come as no surprise that this scoreline is yet to be beaten, though fans will hope Euro 2020 can be the year.

The biggest margin of victory saw the Netherlands beat Yugoslavia 6-1 in the quarter finals of Euro 2000.
