England will hopefully continue their winning streak in their World cup qualifying match this evening against Poland.

The last two England games have seen the Three Lions claim two 4-0 victories, away in Hungary and then at home against Andorra, making it five wins from five in their Group I qualifiers.

However, Poland represents arguably their biggest test of the qualifying campaign – with a certain Robert Lewandowski waiting for Harry Maguire & Co.

Poland will host England this evening, Wednesday 8th September 2021, with the kick off at 7.45pm.

Where is the match taking place?

England will travel to the Stadion Narodowy in Warsaw, Poland.

Built between 2008 and 2011, this relatively new stadium has a seating capacity of 58,580. It is built on the site of the former Stadion Dziesiecioloceia and plays host to various rock and pop concerts, as well as hosting Poland’s national rugby union team.

After Southgate’s completely different set of players for Sunday’s match against Andorra, his pool of players is now wide open. Harry Kane is expected to replace Patrick Bamford as he looks for his 41st international goal.

Southgate must decide whether to start teenage star Jude Bellingham or Jordan Henderson in midfield or stick with Declan Rice and Kalvin Phillips.

Having recently picked up a minor injury, Jadon Sancho has been ruled out of tonight’s game and has returned to Manchester United for treatment.
