A long and fascinating Premier League campaign comes to an end on Sunday afternoon, and that can only mean one thing.
Yes, forget your title races and your relegation battles, your top four tussles and your golden boot shootouts – here at National World we thought it would be the ideal time to rank every top flight mascot from worst to best.
From dinosaurs to seagulls, aliens to anthropomorphic gas boilers, the world of Premier League mascots is a bizarre one to say the least, but undeterred, we’ve ploughed on through all 19 weird and wonderful candidates – Everton seemingly intent on ruining the party by refusing to replace former representative Changy the Elephant, gone but never forgotten – to bring you a definitive judgement on who is truly the king of the hill, and who is ready to be put out to pasture.

1. No Mascot - Everton
It wasn't overly long ago that Everton had Changy the Elephant parading up and down the touchlines, but once their sponsorship deal with his parent company Chang Beer came to an end, the trunked wonder flew off like Dumbo, leaving the Toffees in mascot limbo. With nobody to represent them, they have to come last by default. (Photo by Jon Super - Pool/Getty Images) Photo: Pool
2. Mighty Red
Mighty Red is meant to be a cormorant, like the liver bird, but he actually looks more like a cross between Marlin from Finding Nemo and a crab stick. There's an old adage that says empty barrels make the most noise, and it's hard to escape the feeling that calling himself ‘Mighty’ is a front for the fact that there's very little going on behind those flawless pearly whites. Evidently sees the same dentist as Roberto Firmino. (Photo by Alex Livesey/Getty Images) Photo: Alex Livesey
3. Hercules the Lion - Aston Villa
It's a story as old as time: club with lion on badge have said lion as their mascot. Forgive us for not being overly enthused by this Mufasa rip-off. (Photo by ADRIAN DENNIS/AFP via Getty Images) Photo: ADRIAN DENNIS
4. Stamford the Lion - Chelsea
